Thorium Consult was established in 2025 by Gavin Bollan to provide high quality, independent environmental and scientific advice to businesses and project managers.
Gavin Bollan is one of the UK’s most experienced environmental practitioners, with a career stretching back to the mid 1990s. He is a Chartered Environmentalist and Chartered Scientist, a full Member of the Institution of Environmental Sciences and a Fellow of the Institute of Air Quality Management. He has held these designations continuously since 2011.
He has held practice lead and management positions with several of the UK’s largest environmental consultancy firms but has taken great care never to simply be a manager and to stay “hands on” – he maintains genuine and practical technical understanding of the diverse range of services learned over a long career and now offered by Thorium.
